Health: Excellent. Tommy is an easy keeper with hay and a handful of sweet feed as a treat. He stays outside year round with barn access.

Vices: None
Personality: Is inquisitive but can be assertive. Likes to be boss horse. Can be timid if handled rough. Tommy does not like his halter or bridle slipped over his head and ears. He will stand quietly if you do the buckle up on the side. Otherwise he has very good manners with us and the vet and farrier.
History/Training: This is a solidly built, strong, sound gelding. Very forward moving. He likes to be groomed but hasn’t been ridden for past 7 years (bought for husband who is still afraid of horses!) and is too big for my daughter to ride. Previously ridden Western as I was told he was a ranch horse brought in from Alberta.
Future/Suitability: Tommy has been a companion horse for the past eight years. He would require a little work and patience to condition and “leg up”. He could then make a possible roper, or other working western horse. I have not taken him on any trails. He is a great size and build for a male rider. With training I feel Tommy also has potential to be an English style horse as he is forward going and is a nice mover. Gorgeous dark bay coat.
Additional Info: Sadly must sell to make room for a large pony. Tommy has been a good member of our family for 8 years now. He deserves a responsible and caring new owner.
