SunflowerBarn Name: Sunflower Breed: Paso Fino Height: 13hh Age: approx 12 y/o Gender: Mare Colour: Palomino Health: Good, although I have noticed a slight cough everynow and then if she sticks her head in the round bale, they are good quality round bales with little to no dust so perhaps she would be better on squares, and of course she enjoys the grass! Lameness: None Known Vices: None Personality: She is nasty to catch (will try to bite and kick you) so we have been leaving a light weight halter on her at all times and we let her come to us, she is better that way, or we catch her through the fence (she is super friendly when you are on the other side of the fence from her) and then once you catch her and have her in hand she is fine and is friendly and easy to Lead, Groom, Trim, Tie, Trailer, etc. Good with other horses and ponies. Afraid of donkeys and doesn't like dogs. I am hoping the nasty catching behaviour will get better with time once she learns to trust us and realizes we are not going to eat her, but simply want to do nice things to her, like groom her, give her treats etc! Great Parelli Project. History/Training: Unknown, Purchased from an Auction, Slaughterbound, Halter Broke, We tried her out under saddle and she appears to have been ridden before. She came through with a herd of other mares, so if they were broodmares there is a good chance she might be in foal, she is getting bigger and bigger daily. Future/Suitability: With training she should be suitable for pretty much anything .... Riding or Driving, English or Western, Show or Pleasure, Companion/Pet ** CIVIC HOLIDAY SPECIAL ** - We have reduced Sunflower's adoption fee down to $1000. Please know we have at least that or more invested into Sunflower already but we hope the reduced price will help you in considering to adopt her and give her the loving permanent home she deserves, and has been patiently waiting for. In order to take advantage of this special price you will need to have your application approved, pay for Sunflower in full and have her picked up (or delivered at your expense) on or before Aug 3, 2009. Please email if you have any questions or need a trailering quote. Thanks! Current Status: Located at HCW in Cameron, ON - Available for Adoption/Sale or Fostering/Free Lease (Until Adopted).
